El giro a dois es una figura de forró en pareja en la que ambos bailadores giran como una unidad, en lugar de que solo la seguidora atraviese un giro solista; el nombre está documentado en listados de movimientos de forró como una práctica dentro de un baile en pareja con roles de líder y seguidora.[1] En su forma básica, el líder mantiene una conexión compacta, redirige el eje compartido de la pareja y distribuye la rotación a lo largo de la frase musical: una preparación inicial y una ligera apertura, una fase intermedia de rotación desplazándose por el espacio, y un asentamiento final de regreso al básico. La seguidora conserva su propio equilibrio, refleja los cambios de peso del líder en el pie opuesto, y permite que el abrazo conduzca el giro de pareja sin tirar más allá de la conexión. She does not launch a solo spin; the first stage receives the preparation and begins the shared turn, the middle stage continues the couple rotation with small grounded steps, and the final stage settles the remaining rotation into the basic without overrunning the leader's frame.
