Sell tickets to your events.
No studio required.
For instructors, DJs, festival organizers, and anyone who runs events without a fixed studio operation. Flat 2.5% per ticket on every Bailar event. Cheaper than every competitor. $4.99/mo unlocks cohort analytics + attendee CSV on top. Same ticketing engine studios and venues use, scoped to what individual hosts actually need.
Three product lines, one ticketing engine.
Bailar has three audiences that all share the same payment + ticketing rails: studios with fixed locations and weekly classes (/for-studios), venues that host social events (/for-venues), and individuals who organize events without either of those. Workshops, congresses, traveling instruction, pop-up socials.
The Event Host plan exists because the studio + venue tiers carry SaaS overhead (roster management, multi-location, embed widgets) that an individual organizer doesn't need. $4.99/mo gets you the analytics + CSV layer without paying for tools you wouldn't use.
You don't need to subscribe to start. The free tier sells tickets at the same flat 2.5%. Same multi-tier engine, same Stripe Connect payouts, same discovery surface. Subscribe when the cohort analytics + attendee CSV start mattering for your business; the per-ticket rate is identical either way.
Everything an event ticket needs, nothing you don't.
Multi-tier ticketing
Early Bird, General, VIP. Set qty, price, and on-sale window per tier. Discount codes (percent or flat) ship in the same flow. Same engine venues and studios use.
Stripe Connect, your payouts
Money goes straight to your Stripe account on every sale via destination charges. Bailar takes its fee as application_fee_amount; you keep the rest. Standard 7-day delay on first payout cycle.
Analytics + attendee CSV
Live sold-count per tier, discount-code usage, revenue projection, and an exportable attendee list with names, emails, and ticket types. Free tier shows the basics; Event Host adds cohorts.
Built-in discovery
Your event surfaces in the Bailar app feed, on the city pages at bailar.site/events/[city], and as geo push to nearby dancers. The same audience studios reach when they post. Without you needing to be a studio.
Refund windows you control
1h, 24h, 48h, 1 week, or no refunds. Set per event. Buyers self-refund inside the window; you can override anytime via Stripe.
What this isn't
Class roster, instructor pay calculations, recurring class management, student progress tracking. If you teach a regular weekly class, /for-studios is for you. This is for one-off and recurring events that don't need the full SaaS scaffolding.

- • Discount-code performance breakdown
- • Priority email support
- • Cancel anytime; per-ticket rate stays 2.5% either way
When $4.99/mo is worth it: when you start asking questions like “who came back to my last three events?”, “which discount code converted best?”, or “how does my Friday social compare to my Saturday workshop on repeat-buyer rate?”. The free tier shows you per-event sales counts; Event Host adds the layer that makes those counts actionable. If you're running one event a quarter, stay free. If you're running multiple events a month and want to know what's working, the $4.99/mo pays for itself in the first decision you change.
The questions individual hosts actually ask
Who is this for?
Individual organizers running events without a full studio operation. Examples: a traveling instructor doing weekend workshops in different cities, a DJ who hosts monthly socials at a rotating venue, a festival organizer running a single annual congress, a couple teaching pop-up bachata classes at hotel ballrooms. If you're an established studio with a fixed location and weekly classes, /for-studios fits better.
Why pay $4.99/mo if the per-ticket rate is the same?
The per-ticket fee is genuinely flat. 2.5% on every event, free tier or paid. Event Host $4.99/mo doesn't change the rate; it adds the analytics individual hosts ask for first: a CSV export of every attendee (names, emails, ticket types, refund flags), per-event cohort analytics (repeat buyers, sell-through curves over time), and a discount-code performance breakdown. If you run more than one event a month and want to track who's coming back, the analytics pay for themselves quickly. If you don't, stay free.
Do I need to be a Bailar instructor to use this?
No. The Event Host tier doesn't require an instructor profile to be visible to students or anything like that. It just gates the ticketing + analytics features. You can be a non-instructor who happens to organize events and use this. (If you do also teach lessons, the instructor profile is free and adds the discoverability layer.)
What's the minimum ticket price?
Paid tickets must be at least $5. Stripe charges 4.5% + $0.30 per transaction regardless of ticket price, so below $5 the fixed $0.30 eats into the organizer's payout disproportionately. Free RSVP tickets have no fee and no minimum.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. The $4.99 is monthly, no contract. Canceling drops you back to the free tier. Same 2.5% per-ticket fee, you just lose the cohort analytics + CSV export. No clawback on existing tickets.
When does this go live?
Subscriptions are open. Click Subscribe. $4.99/mo above to start; you'll need a Bailar account (use the same email you use for the app). The cohort analytics + attendee CSV unlock immediately. Free-tier ticketing (with the same 2.5% per-ticket fee, just no analytics) opens with the v2 paid-checkout flip on 2026-05-17. No subscription required.
