El giro junto es una figura de pareja del forró en la que el líder y la seguidora rotan juntos en lugar de enviar a un solo integrante a un giro individual; los tutoriales lo describen como un elemento coordinado que se emplea desde el estudio principiante hasta el intermedio.[1] Comúnmente comienza desde el paso básico o desde una abertura, con el líder dando forma a la invitación a través del torso y el brazo, mientras mantiene el eje compartido de la pareja legible para la seguidora.[2] El giro generalmente se cuenta dentro del pulso compacto del forró, a menudo como 1-2-3-pausa, y la pareja mantiene el ritmo durante la rotación en lugar de detenerse para pivotar por separado.[3] La rotación se realiza por etapas: una versión común gira aproximadamente un cuarto de vuelta para entrar en la rotación compartida, y luego otro cuarto o más para completar cerca de media vuelta, mientras que las variantes más completas distribuyen 270° o 360° a lo largo de tiempos de caminata adicionales.[2] La figura pertenece a la tradición más amplia de danza y música del forró del nordeste brasileño, que alcanzó relevancia nacional a mediados del siglo XX gracias a artistas asociados con la popularización del género.[4]

From close or open-forró connection, leader steps left on 1, right on 2, left on 3, then pauses or collects; he invites the shared turn through chest direction and a compact arm frame, beginning about a quarter turn during 1-2-3. On 5-6-7 he walks the opposite foot pattern, right-left-right, continuing the couple’s rotation to about 180 degrees total for the base form, then settles the connection without pulling the follower off balance.

Follower mirrors with right on 1, left on 2, right on 3, then pauses or collects; she reads the leader’s torso and frame as an invitation to rotate with him, beginning about a quarter turn during 1-2-3 while keeping her own steps underneath the body. On 5-6-7 she walks left-right-left, completing the shared rotation to about 180 degrees total for the base form and returning to a stable closed or open connection.
