Latin dance in Washington, DC

DC's Latin dance scene pulls from embassies and the Central American diaspora that built the city's L Street and Columbia Heights neighborhoods. Bachata dominicana runs stronger here than anywhere else on the East Coast except the Bronx, and kizomba is a quietly strong second scene.
