Adios Arriba es una llamada de Rueda de Casino construida a partir de Adios, una figura básica de cambio de pareja en la que el líder eleva el brazo conectado, pasa hacia adelante por debajo de él y llega con la siguiente seguidora.[1] El modificador arriba da al intercambio su regla de circulación: en el uso de rueda dirige a los bailadores a continuar en sentido horario alrededor del círculo, o en algunas llamadas a avanzar hacia la siguiente seguidora en el flujo antihorario de los líderes.[2] Mecánicamente, la figura comienza desde la posición de guapea/rueda abierta: líder y seguidora se separan con pies opuestos pero en la misma dirección relativa al cuerpo en el tiempo 1, recuperan en 2-3 y usan el segundo compás para el desplazamiento hacia adelante del líder y el cambio de pareja en 5-6-7. La trayectoria del líder no es un intercambio en línea; es una progresión circular de rueda coordinada con el cantante y las parejas circundantes.[3] La rotación se organiza por etapas en lugar de ejecutarse con impulso brusco: el líder abre el camino durante el primer compás, luego pasa por debajo de la mano elevada y se reorienta hacia la siguiente seguidora durante el segundo compás, para aproximadamente media vuelta de reencuadre personal distribuida entre la entrada y la salida. La figura pertenece a la práctica cubana de rueda, una forma grupal dirigida por un cantante, derivada del Casino y conocida por sus cambios de pareja sincronizados.[3]

Seguidor

On1 rueda timing: from guapea, break back on right on 1, replace on 2, return toward the leader on 3 while maintaining a responsive raised-hand connection. On 5-6-7, allow the outgoing leader to pass and clear the lane, keep the rueda spacing, and receive the arriving leader by 7 without stepping into his travel path.

Errores comunes

  • Treating arriba as a linear slot instruction instead of rueda traffic around the circle.
  • Breaking the mirror-role basic by sending the follower forward on count 1 instead of having her break back on her right.
  • Holding the raised hand too low, forcing the leader to duck rather than pass under with normal posture.
  • Stopping short of the next follower on 5-6-7, which interrupts the partner-change chain.
  • Turning the leader in one abrupt spin instead of staging the reorientation through entry, travel, and exit.
