Dedo Saboreado es una llamada con nombre propio dentro de la Rueda de Casino, el formato circular cubano en el que las parejas ejecutan figuras sincronizadas y con frecuencia intercambian de pareja bajo las órdenes del cantante.[1] El título suele entenderse literalmente como un dedo “saborizado” o “sabroso”, lo que apunta a una variación estilizada de un recorrido de manos de la familia Dedo, más que a un género de baile social independiente.[2] En una interpretación común de la rueda, el líder mantiene una conexión ligera de dedo o mano, envía a la seguidora a través de un giro viajero compacto y agrega el acento saboreado sin tirar del brazo ni retrasar el cambio de pareja. La seguidora mantiene el ritmo básico de casino, acepta el recorrido de mano elevada y se reorienta por etapas: un giro de entrada de aproximadamente un cuarto a medio giro, un tramo intermedio de desplazamiento y un reencare de salida que completa la rotación requerida por la figura. El conteo se mantiene dentro del marco de dos compases de salsa/casino, con un quiebre por compás y los pasos normales en 1-2-3 y 5-6-7. Dado que el vocabulario de la rueda se difundió a partir del casino habanero y luego circuló internacionalmente a través de clubes, clases y comunidades de rueda, esta llamada se entiende mejor como un nombre en español propio de la rueda cuya ejecución local puede variar según la escuela.[3]

Use the caller’s local Dedo Saboreado version. In the common casino/rueda frame, begin from open or rueda-ready hold. On 1-2-3, break once in the first measure and raise the connected hand or finger path without gripping, opening the body enough to let the follower start the travelling turn. On 5-6-7, continue the pathway, add the saboreado styling accent only if it does not interrupt timing, and finish square enough for the next rueda call or partner change. Rotation is staged, not whipped: prep/opening first, travel through the middle, then re-facing on the exit.

Keep the casino basic and respond to the raised finger or hand connection without leaning into it. On 1-2-3, break once in the first measure and begin the indicated turn pathway from the follower’s own axis. On 5-6-7, travel through the space offered by the leader, complete the remaining reorientation in stages, and land balanced for the next call or partner change. The turn should feel like entry, travel, and exit re-facing rather than a single late spin.
