- Treating the call as a single long spin rather than repeated enchufla units with a fresh two-measure structure each time.
- Starting the follower with a forward break on 1; the follower breaks back on the right foot, then travels into the opened space on later counts.
- Under-rotating the exchange so the pair never completes the approximate 180-degree change of facing and circle position for each enchufla unit.
- Letting claps delay the next break count, causing the whole wheel to drift off the caller's timing.
- Calling a right or clockwise follower turn an enchufla; the enchufla action uses the follower's left, counter-clockwise rotation.
