Sueter es una llamada compacta de rueda de casino cuya imagen visual son las manos unidas elevadas que pasan sobre la seguidora como si se le estuviera poniendo un suéter, y luego se le quitara. Pertenece al formato grupal cantado de rueda, donde las parejas bailan en un círculo y ejecutan juntas figuras con nombre bajo la orden de un cantor.[1] Mecánicamente, normalmente comienza desde una posición abierta semejante a guapea: el líder rompe hacia atrás con la izquierda mientras la seguidora rompe hacia atrás con la derecha, luego el líder eleva la mano conectada y guía a la seguidora a través de una pequeña reorientación hacia la izquierda, manteniendo la conexión suave a la altura de los hombros. La envoltura se plantea de manera escenificada más que forzada: el primer compás crea la entrada y el giro parcial, y el segundo compás desenrolla a la seguidora para que vuelva a mirar al líder, aproximadamente medio giro de reorientación total dividido entre la entrada y la salida. La rueda se desarrolló en la práctica habanera de casino y luego se difundió por Miami y otras escenas de la diáspora, por lo que la llamada se entiende con mayor naturalidad como un elemento del vocabulario cubano de casino más que como una figura lineal de salsa en carril.[2]

Líder
From open guapea position, the leader breaks back on left on 1, replaces and gathers the connected hand on 2-3, then raises the hand path above the follower's head on 5-6-7 so the follower enters the sweater-like wrap without pressure on the neck. On the next 1-2-3 the leader opens the hand path and unwinds the follower; on 5-6-7 both settle back into open facing position.
Seguidor
From open guapea position, the follower breaks back on right on 1, replaces on 2-3, then follows the lifted hand path on 5-6-7 into a small leftward reorientation under the connection. On the next 1-2-3 the follower continues the unwind through the opened pathway; on 5-6-7 the follower re-faces the leader in open position.
Tiempo musicalBest at moderate rueda social tempos around 150-185 bpm. It can be danced faster by experienced groups, but 190 bpm and above leaves little time for a relaxed wrap and unwind.

Ten cuidado
Errores comunes
- Pulling the follower's hand down onto the neck instead of keeping a lifted, rounded hand path.
- Treating the wrap as a single abrupt spin rather than splitting the reorientation across entry and exit.
- Letting both partners step on the same foot; the leader and follower mirror each other, with opposite feet on the break.
- Breaking twice inside one measure instead of using one break per measure.
- Overtightening the handhold so the follower cannot unwind cleanly back to open position.

- Sombrero: also uses an overhead hand path, but finishes with a hat-like arm placement rather than the sweater-wrap image.
- Setenta: a longer turn-pattern family with different hand changes and a more extended rotational budget.
