Fly, más comúnmente llamado Un Fly en la Rueda de Casino, es una figura de llamada corta propia del formato circular cubano, y no un patrón de pareja de tipo slot.[1] La pareja permanece en guapea: en el primer tiempo del siguiente compás, ambos aplauden, luego el líder se desplaza hacia el interior de la rueda mientras la seguidora se desplaza hacia el exterior, y regresan a la orientación hacia el perímetro para el tercer tiempo.[2] La acción, por lo tanto, no es un intercambio cruzado con desplazamiento; se trata de una separación compacta hacia afuera y hacia adentro dentro de la formación circular compartida, que normalmente requiere el contexto grupal y el tiempo marcado por quien canta las llamadas.[3] Su margen de rotación es mínimo: cada bailador puede girar ligeramente hacia afuera en el primer tiempo y volver a alinearse para el tercer tiempo, lo que constituye una pequeña reorientación y no un giro con nombre propio. La figura pertenece al vocabulario cubano de la Rueda de Casino, mientras que las escenas de LA On1, Nueva York On2, Puerto Rico, la salsa de club de Miami y la salsa de Cali generalmente usan la llamada cubana al enseñar rueda, o no mantienen un nombre local independiente para la figura dentro del trabajo de pareja.

Ten cuidado
Errores comunes
- Treating Fly as a slot-style traveling exchange instead of a compact rueda separation.
- Breaking forward on count 1; both roles keep their own guapea break away from the partner, leader on left and follower on right.
- Leaving the circle shape too far and failing to return by count 3.
- Adding an unnecessary turn; the base call has only a small angle away and recovery, not a half-turn or full turn.
- Clapping late on 2 or 3, which obscures the caller's count-1 accent.
