Trois cha-chas est une figure de cha-cha en pareja construite à partir de chassés compacts répétés, prolongeant l’action rapide-rapide caractéristique de la danse en trois unités successives de « cha-cha » tout en conservant la structure sous-jacente rock-step-et-chassé du vocabulaire du cha-cha.[1] La figure est normalement enseignée dans le cha-cha de ballroom et de studio comme une action de déplacement contrôlée : le líder façonne la direction et le cadre, tandis que le follower maintient un usage des pieds en miroir et accompagne les petits chassés latéraux ou progressifs sans être tirée au-delà de son équilibre. Le cha-cha est organisé en 4/4, avec la syncope familière placée autour de 4-et-1 après les rock steps sur 2 et 3, de sorte que cette figure devrait sonner rythmiquement précise plutôt que précipitée.[2] Historiquement, la forme plus large du cha-cha est née de la pratique cubaine de danse-musique du milieu du XXe siècle associée à Enrique Jorrín, puis s’est diffusée internationalement par les canaux social et ballroom.[3] La fiche traite donc Trois cha-chas comme un nom de figure de studio/ballroom : dans de nombreuses scènes social latino-américaines, les danseurs peuvent employer la terminologie générale du cha-cha sans utiliser une étiquette locale distincte pour cette figure exacte de type syllabus.

Dance three compact cha-cha chasses on 4-and-1, 2-and-3, and 4-and-1, keeping the partner centered in frame. If the figure travels, progress gradually across all three chasses rather than sending the follower in one large step. Maintain only small body shaping; there is no required net turn unless a syllabus variation adds it.

Dance the three cha-cha chasses on 4-and-1, 2-and-3, and 4-and-1, matching the leader's direction and size while keeping independent balance. The follower should not anticipate a spin or slot crossing unless the lead clearly changes the figure into a separate turn variation.
Temps musicalBest at moderate cha-cha tempos where 2, 3, 4-and-1 remains articulate; roughly 115-130 bpm is comfortable for social/studio cha-cha, while faster recordings require smaller chasses and clearer weight changes.

- Making the three chasses too large, which breaks cha-cha's compact rhythm and pulls the partner off axis.

- Breaking with the same foot as the partner instead of mirroring opposite feet.
