• “We had a very disappointing experience with ASA dance studio that resulted in a complete loss of $5,000 in prepaid dance lessons. I purchased a large prepaid package in good faith, expecting consistent instruction and reliable service. Unfortunately, my assigned instructor was arrested & abruptly disappeared, leaving no communication or replacement lessons. This meant I received none of the services I paid for. Despite multiple attempts to reach management through texts and emails, responses were either nonexistent or extremely delayed—only after persistent follow-up did I hear back. When communication finally occurred, I was told the studio was in a dire financial situation and could not issue a refund. I offered a reasonable compromise: to continue lessons with a different qualified instructor so the studio could still provide value. This proposal was not accepted or explored further. The outcome is that I am left with no lessons, no refund, and no meaningful customer service. The heavy emphasis on large prepaid commitments, followed by poor accountability when services could not be delivered, feels irresponsible and unfair to customers. I strongly advise anyone considering this studio to think carefully before committing significant prepaid funds. Ensure you understand the refund policy and what happens if an instructor is no longer available. I hope the studio improves its communication, customer support, and financial responsibility practices moving forward. ************** UPDATE ************* The owner has reached out to me, acknowledged the issue, and proposed a payment plan to rectify the matter. This wasn't an ideal situation for anyone but he took the right steps. I appreciate his attention and his willingness to talk.”
